We currently have several brethren going through the degrees.
Deaths among our brethren are mentioned in lodge
and published in The Chimes.
The Skokie Masonic Center, including Chicago Lodge, participates in the annual 4th of July
in Skokie. We decorate and ride on a float in this parade.

The elected and appointed officers of Chicago Lodge were installed into office on June 24, 2017.
an open installation with friends and family welcome to attend the ceremony and the dinner which followed.

The Annual Past Masters and Award Night took place on May 10, 2017. Ladies and friends were
welcome to this open event. Education grants were given to four students from William Howard
Taft High School during the evening. In addition to the endowed eduction funds started by Larry
Levine with a subsequent major donation though Isaac Cutter Lodge, there was a matching grant
by Howard Weitzman through the Weitzman Foundation. Brethren who reached several longevity of
of membership (at five year intervals) were recognized. The Worshipful Master also gave builders
awards with pins to several brethren who sponsored new members.

Chicago Lodge sponsored an ice cream social at the Masonic Children's Home in LaGrange
on Sunday, May 7, 2017. This is the last one as the home is closing. There was pleanty
ice cream for everyone.

The Skokie Masonic Center and Chicago Lodge have an annual 9-11 Memorial program honoring first
which checks are presented to the Skokie Police and Fire Department benevlolence funds. Because 9-11 fell on
a Sunday this year, we had an open house with char broiled hot dogs and hamburgers. There was also an IL-CHIP
event run in conjunction with the program. Pictures of Acacia, a service dog in training paid for by the Center, were
posted and two therapy dogs were available for petting. Several sea scouts based in Skokie were present to assist.

Members of Chicago Lodge gather for breakfast once a month - usually on the third Saturday. We try to use different restaurants if we can.
